Human rights music education is a professional standpoint that aims to encourage social change through the emergence of holistic bonds between musical and civic knowledge. In this regard, social participation is a determining factor in the acquisition and development of practical and theoretical learning, placing value on the ethics of care because the full development of personality and safeguarding of human dignity should be promoted. The five key guidelines proposed in this booklet serve as material for modelling human rights music education and are adaptable to the diversity of educational contexts.
